Irish Network DC

Irish Network DC creates meaningful professional and social opportunities for members of the Irish and Irish-American community in Washington, DC. Since its founding in 2010 with support from Ambassador Michael Collins and the Embassy of Ireland, the organization has established itself as a vital connector fostering cultural, economic, and social ties between contemporary Ireland and the United States.

The organization serves a diverse membership including Irish-born individuals, Irish-Americans, and friends of Ireland through a comprehensive programming approach. Irish Network DC organizes four primary event categories: a Speakers Series featuring thought leaders and cultural figures, Professional Development sessions designed to advance career opportunities and networking, Social events that build community connections, and Special events celebrating Irish heritage and traditions. This multifaceted event strategy enables members to engage with the Irish-American community across professional, cultural, and personal dimensions.

As a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit incorporated under the District of Columbia's nonprofit laws, Irish Network DC maintains a neutral, nonpartisan stance on political issues—a commitment the organization views as essential for fostering civil discourse and unbiased discussion. The organization has cultivated strong partnerships with other Irish groups throughout the Washington, DC area, including Solas Nua, The Ireland Funds Young Leaders, The Rose of Tralee Center, and numerous others, creating a robust network of interconnected Irish organizations. Irish Network DC operates as part of the broader Irish Network USA, a national umbrella organization with 21 chapters across the United States dedicated to strengthening mutual economic, cultural, and social ties between Ireland and America.
