Greater Cleveland Feis Society

The Greater Cleveland Feis Society organizes and promotes the annual Cleveland Feis, a premier Irish dancing and music competition held in Eastlake, OH. Since 1957, the organization has been dedicated to showcasing Irish cultural traditions through competitive events that celebrate step dancing, choreography, figure competitions, and ceili dancing. The Cleveland Feis features performances and competitions for dancers of all levels, with adjudicators and musicians who are experts in authentic Irish dance traditions. The 2025 event marks the 69th year of this established competition, held at Force Sports in Eastlake, Ohio, welcoming approximately 600 competitors and participants from across the region. Beyond dance competitions, the Feis Society has expanded programming to include an Irish Baking Competition, adding another dimension to cultural celebration. The organization manages comprehensive event logistics including registration through iFeis, stage assignments, competitor scheduling, and volunteer coordination. With seven active dance schools and seventeen certified Irish dance teachers currently operating in the Cleveland area, the Feis Society serves as the central hub for the region's vibrant Irish dance community. The society actively recruits volunteers and community members to participate in planning and executing this annual cultural celebration, ensuring the continuation of Irish dance traditions for future generations in the Eastlake and greater Cleveland region.
